14 Sep Getting ready for the 70
As we’re aware, we’ll have some freedoms when the vaccination rate reaches 70%, we want to help Coast businesses get the word out there and we share some tips to start getting ready for the 70.
We want to hear from YOU – businesses of ALL SIZES, TYPES, Industries right across the Coast. What are you doing when you reopen? Will limits be in place? Will customers have to rebook or will you contact clients directly? Will there be a cancellation – wait list list?
CLICK HERE to fill in the form to let us know what your reopening procedures will be, any specials /deals etc.
Tell us as much as you can, so we can share with everyone!
And while it’s looking promising that we’ll reach that milestone in October, here’s our list of things to do once we hit that point!
SUPPORT THE LOCAL CLUBS
Now more than ever, our local clubs need us. In 2015, clubs in NSW made $118 million in cash donations*. These cash donations supported local charities, schools, hospitals, sports teams and community events.
Many clubs have been closed during the lockdown, with staff being temporarily stood down. Now’s a great time to get your mates organised, for a meal and drink at your local club.
BE PATIENT WITH YOUR HAIRDRESSER /BARBER
It’s probably one of the top three activities, so many of us are looking forward to – a trip to the hairdresser to fix any lockdown cuts or colour misadventures!
Remember that there will be a backlog of clients and salons operating to reduced capacity due to health orders. So be kind to your hairdresser.
SUPPORT DINING AT LOCAL RESTAURANTS
While the support from the Coast to those restaurants who have been able to offer takeaway /delivery has been terrific, again, many haven’t been operating anywhere near their optimum capacity.
Once you’ve been to the hairdresser, and are feeling glam, organise a group to go to a restaurant to celebrate!
BE SAFE & KIND
Just because we’ll have some freedoms doesn’t mean we’ll be going back to “2019” freedoms. Please continue to follow the health orders and respect others decisions as we make the next steps to start getting ready for the 70. Don’t forget we’ll keep sharing information regarding health updates and all the latest from local businesses.
CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE LOCAL BUSINESSES THAT DELIVERED DURING LOCKDOWN
So many of these small and sole-trader businesses have gone above and beyond for our region during the lockdown. Just because we will have some freedoms, now is not the time to forget about them.
Even something as simple as continuing to like and share their social media posts can make a huge difference.
So, as we inch closer each day to the 70% fully vaccinated mark, continue to support those businesses that are open, be kind to each other and stay safe.
