I have just bought a delicious loaf of sourdough and some quiches which you can freeze and then defrost really well. You would never know they had been frozen. You can eat really well without even leaving Avoca! Please help support this local business if you can.

Gosford Sailing Club: It is with a heavy heart that we regret to inform you all that the Gosford Sailing Club has been forced to temporarily close due to the worsening Coronavirus emergency. The health and safety of our local community, including our fantastic staff, is the most important thing at this point in time.
This will no doubt be a very difficult time for many of us. Although the message out there is to keep distance from each other, it isn’t to isolate ourselves from each other.Just because you can’t enjoy a drink or a meal with your friends at the club, this temporary closure does not stop you from picking up the phone to check in with each other. No more than ever do we need to band together as a community to get through this tough time. Clubs have always played a massive role in their local communities, including providing employment for many, providing great facilities & services, and its always been a friendly place to catch up with old friends or make new friends.
These are very challenging times for our small club, and without the support of our local community, the future for our club is uncertain. Please keep an eye out for a Go Fund Me page, where we call on anyone who has enjoyed our club over its 85 year history, to make a small donation to help ensure our staff are looked after and our club has a future once this crisis has passed.

Chapman’s Quality Fruits – You asked and we listened!! We will be doing home deliveries. You can order our pre-made fruit and veg boxes (all boxes and details are on our Facebook page) or alternately order what ever you like (minimum $50 order).

Orders need to be placed by 9am on delivery day (if you require bread and milk we need to know early the day before to place order).
Deliveries will be Monday-Friday. As we are delivering and we are offering you produce at our great shop prices we will be charging a delivery fee. Between Gosford and Ourimbah the fee will be $6. For anywhere outside that area on the Central Coast delivery fee will be $10. For this week and next week we will be delivering to all areas mon-fri.
After a week or so we will work out certain days for certain areas. We will be taking over the phone payments by credit card before delivery. For deliveries the boxes will be left at your front door to ensure no contact between our delivery drivers and yourself. Thank you and stay safe!!

Haven at Home To our beautiful customers, as much as this saddens me I have decided to close our doors from tomorrow temporarily until further notice. The health and safety of our staff, customers and our community are of the highest importance and feel this is the next step and appropriate time to do so.

Golf:
The course will be OPEN from Friday 3rd April. The course is OPEN for MEMBERS ONLY at this stage. We do apologise to our guests and visitors, but at this early stage we feel it’s in the best interests of our membership given the restricted tee times.
The course will operate by tee time bookings Only. Walk up starts will not be permitted and once the 1st tee is Closed. No more play is allowed to go off.
All members must follow our strict social distancing guidelines to protect both themselves, the golf club and the greater golfing community. If we all play by the rules, you will be playing for much longer.
We are also reminding members who are aged over 70, aged over 65 with a pre-existing condition or indigenous people aged over 50 with a pre-existing condition are advised to stay home wherever possible for their own protection.
After reconsideration, the Office of Sport – NSW Government has advised that golf is considered an activity that can continue to be played in line with Public Health Orders relating to public gathering limits, social distancing, and the elderly. Golf NSW understands and respects that it is ultimately a Club’s decision to open or remain closed, based on individual circumstances related to COVID-19.
We encourage and respect those Members that would prefer not to come to Golf if you do not feel comfortable. The Club encourages you to make this personal choice. I have also included commentary from our Prime Minister Scott Morrison, and I would encourage those who this applies to, to heed this advice. More updates to follow
